With having another party to celebrate you and your baby you will get an extra dose of loving from family and friends. It is always fun to come together with those you love and socialize over such an exciting experience! You can also use this as an opportunity to collect more gifts. Although you may put on your gender reveal party invitation that gifts are not expected, I can almost guarantee that somebody will arrive with a pretty little bag with something in it for you!

When it comes to the cons of having another party, a lot of it comes down to personality and preference. If you don’t like big gathering and being the center of attention, then you won’t like having a gender reveal party. If you hate to entertain and don’t have someone who will host the gender reveal party for you, then this might not be for you.

Want to have the ultimate surprise? Don’t tell anyone until your newborn is actually here! It will keep people itching to know and will be so fun to share after such a long wait. And if you aren’t the best at keeping secrets, then maybe you could wait till baby is born too! That’s right, let your baby be the one to share their gender on the day you give birth!

A huge con to this gender reveal idea is that you wont be able to prepare as well with nursery décor and clothing. You may even miss out on some baby shower gifts. However, you could always stick with gender neutral colors for clothing and decorations. Then if you have a gift, just add headbands and flowers! And if you have a boy add some pops of blue.
