Tips for the Perfect Cake Smash
When planning a cake smash, it’s so hard to predict how baby will react,if they’ll like it, or get scared, and planning a theme and so much more. Luckily, I’ve been in the industry for a while and have seen it all, so I’ve gathered all my secrets to make sure you get the perfect cake smash experience. Babies are hard to predict and plan around, so let’s take the guesswork out of it and have a great time!
Here are my 4 tips for a seamless cake smash experience!
Plan for baby to take a nap before the cake smash session. That way baby will be happy and excited for a fun new experience.
Make sure baby eats BEFORE the session. I know we want baby to be hungry to eat the cake, but a hungry baby can turn into a grumpy baby really quickly.
Keep the cake simple. Don’t try and order or make an intricate cake. It’s going to be destroyed in minutes and the baby won’t care either way. It’s going to taste the same!
Enjoy the moment and try and get in on the fun! It’s always the greatest when you can experience something with your child for their first time. Don’t be afraid to hop in there and show them what they’re supposed to do. This will make baby feel comfortable and allow you a moment to breathe!
