There is just something so fun about having girls as a mom! Maybe it’s the bond of womanhood, or the idea of matching outfits with her until she thinks she is too cool to match her mom. But either way, it is an adventure just waiting to begin! Being a newborn photographer I have been able to pose many baby girls, and I definitely have some favorite when it comes to props. So, here are my favorite photography props for your baby girl!
Birth Month Florals
Something that is trending right now are birth month flowers. Basically just like every month of the year has a gemstone associated with it, there are also flowers assigned to each month. This is a gorgeous detail with so much meaning. It brings a timeless and delicate touch to your newborn photos.
Wedding Gown
Something really special about having a daughter is when you get to celebrate and help plan their wedding. A beautiful way to sentiment your love as her parents, and to look to her future is to incorporate your wedding gown into your newborn photography. You can use your actual gown, or something smaller like your veil or even your rings!
Bow and Bonnets
You can’t have a newborn photography session for your baby girl without a bow or bonnet! They really complete the look for any baby girl a bring so much personality. There are a ton of bow and bonnet shops on Etsy, you will be sure to find a brand that you love!
Siblings
Okay, people don’t really count as a prop. But they belong in a few photos, that’s for sure! I absolutely love when mom and dad bring along the siblings, cousins, or grandparents to have a few photos taken with. These people will surround your little girl and influence her in so many ways. It really is a beautiful thing to include siblings and other family in your newborn photos.
